BUCK FUSH FLASHBACK #1 // Dennis Madalone’s “America We Stand As One” — What would it look like if an 80s power-balladeer traveled through time to honor the ‘fallen heroes’ of 9/11?

Embarrassingly sincere and imbued with an infantile jingoism, this infectiously catchy rock anthem music features Madalone, clad in ripped jeans and a 1992 Summer Olympics Dream Team jersey as he stalks around the beach, graveyard and a school playground while being magically possessed by the bright shiny spirt of America. By the end, Madalone has amassed an army of flag waving children that I am assuming he has brought to the beach to sacrifice in the name of appeasing whatever God he thinks is responsible for 9/11.

Ultimately though, as over the top cheese the early consumer-grade special effects position it aesthetically between “Birdemic” and “Mall Kiosk Music Video.” Look out for the the baby with the horrifying, plastered on smile in what must be an attempt to strip mine the uncanny valley, frack it and then shoot it with a BB gun.
